Overview
Schools that are using School Minder Version
8.01 or higher automatically have the ability to
export data to a School Minder file. Once that
file has been created, it may then be sent to
another "School Minder" school so that it can be
imported into their School Minder program via
the School Minder Import Module.
The user-friendly process will quickly transfer
School Minder records from the former school to
the receiving school's School Minder database.
For
Example
The 8th grade class of the local middle school
will begin its freshmen year (9th grade) next
fall at the local high school. These are two
different schools in two different locations;
both use School Minder. Typically in this
situation, it will be left to the high school's
office personnel to manually key in this
information for each transferring student--a
tedious and time-consuming process.
However, now the high school, using the
School Minder Import Module, can quickly
and easily import the 8th grade students'
information from the file (sent by the middle
school) directly into their School Minder
program. Once the import is complete, the high
school’s School Minder database will be
updated/appended with the new students’ data,
and the information will be ready for use!
