Integrated Method of Updating School Minder Data

The School Minder Import Module provides an automated, secure way to routinely and globally updating of student and family information from each of its affiliated school (that uses School Minder). This will eliminate the task of having to continually hand-enter changes for each school as information changes.

Many schools are affiliated with other schools or are a part of a school-group. These affiliated schools/school- groups may consist of anywhere from 2 to 50+ individual schools. In many cases, these groups of schools have a centralized business/main office where all billing statements, transcripts, and other important information are processed. However, throughout the school year, each individual school will invariably have changes to their student and family records. Reasons for these changes include...

  • Name changes

  • Address changes

  • Change of phone number(s)

  • Parent’s change of job/Occupation

  • Email address(es) changes

 

Overview

When one of the group’s schools is ready to send updated student and family information to its main office, they will export this School Minder data to a file (via the Export utility within School Minder). Then, using the School Minder Import Module, the main school office will import this updated data directly into its database. Each school can send updated information to the main office as often as needed. This flexibility will ensure that the business office of the school group will always have the most current student and family information on file. Best of all, only the school office that is importing the updated information is required to have the Import Module.
